How to Apply for GATE 2024: దేశ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక విద్యా సంస్థల్లో పీజీ, డాక్టోరల్‌ కోర్సుల్లో ప్రవేశానికి ఏటా నిర్వహించే గ్రాడ్యుయేట్‌ ఆప్టిట్యూడ్‌ టెస్ట్‌ ఇన్‌ ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ (గేట్‌)-2024 నోటిఫికేషన్ తాజాగా విడుదలైంది. జాతీయ స్థాయిలో నిర్వహించే ఈ పరీక్ష స్కోరు ఉన్నత విద్యతో పాటు కొన్ని ప్రభుత్వ రంగ సంస్థల్లో ఉద్యోగాల ఎంపికకు సైతం ఉపయోగపడుతుంది. ఐఐటీలు, నిట్‌ వంటి విద్యాసంస్థల్లో మాస్టర్స్‌ డిగ్రీ, పీహెచ్‌డీ కోర్సులు చేయడానికి గేట్‌ స్కోర్‌ తప్పనిసరి.

అర్హతలు: ఇంజినీరింగ్‌, టెక్నాలజీ, ఆర్కిటెక్చర్‌, సైన్స్‌, హ్యూమానిటీస్‌లో బ్యాచిలర్‌ డిగ్రీ ఉత్తీర్ణులై ఉండాలి. ప్రస్తుతం చివరి సంవత్సరం చదువుతున్న అభ్యర్థులు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు.
వయసు: అభ్యర్థులకు గరిష్ఠ వయోపరిమితి లేదు.
పరీక్ష విధానం: అభ్యర్థులను కంప్యూటర్‌ ఆధారిత పరీక్షలో వచ్చిన స్కోర్‌ ఆధారంగా ఎంపిక చేస్తారు. పరీక్షకు 3 గంటల వ్యవధి ఉంటుంది. 30 సబ్జెక్టుల్లో నిర్వహిస్తారు. అభ్యర్థులు 1 లేదా 2 పేపర్లను ఎంపికచేసుకోవచ్చు. ఆబ్జెక్టివ్‌ విధానంలో నిర్వహించే ఈ పరీక్షలో మల్టిపుల్‌ ఛాయిస్‌ ప్రశ్నలు, మల్టిపుల్‌ సెలెక్ట్‌ ప్రశ్నలు, న్యూమరికల్‌ ఆన్సర్‌ టైప్‌ ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. 1, 2 మార్కుల ప్రశ్నలుంటాయి. నెగెటివ్‌ మార్కింగ్‌ విధానం ఉంటుంది.
దరఖాస్తు ఫీజు: రూ.1800 (జనరల్‌ అభ్యర్థులకు), రూ.900 (మహిళలు, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, దివ్యాంగులకు).
దరఖాస్తు విధానం: అభ్యర్థులు ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది.

How to Apply for GATE 2024
- Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for GATE 2024. Typically, this includes having completed or being in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Create an Account: Visit the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website and create a new account if you don’t have one.
- Fill in Application Form: Log in to your GOAPS account and fill in the GATE application form with all the required details, such as personal information, educational background, and contact details.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other necessary documents as specified in the application guidelines.
- Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee as per your category (general, OBC, SC/ST, etc.). The fee can typically be paid online through various payment modes.
- Review and Submit: Carefully review all the information you’ve entered before submitting your application. Once you’re confident everything is accurate, submit the application.

Note: ఈసారి గేట్‌ను బెంగళూరులోని ఇండియన్‌ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్‌ ఆఫ్‌ సైన్స్‌ (ఐఐఎస్‌సీ) నిర్వహించనుంది. గేట్‌-2024లో ఈసారి కొత్తగా డేటా సైన్స్‌ అండ్‌ ఆర్టిఫిషియల్‌ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్‌(డీఏ) ప్రశ్నపత్రాన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టనున్నారు. ఆగస్టు 24వ తేదీ నుంచి దరఖాస్తుల ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభం కానుంది. పరీక్షలను వచ్చే ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరి 3, 4, 10, 11 తేదీల్లనిర్వహించనున్నారు. దేశవ్యాప్తంగా దాదాపు 200 నగరాలు, పట్టణాల్లో పరీక్ష జరుగుతుంది. గేట్‌లో సాధించిన స్కోర్‌ను బట్టి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ రంగ సంస్థలు అభ్యర్థులకు ముఖాముఖి నిర్వహించి, ఉద్యోగాలకు ఎంపిక చేస్తాయి.
